This allows you to provide an event handler that performs a custom routine, such as canceling the mode change, whenever this event occurs.
to my detailsview and used the code you wrote down above.
In mode changing, basically you manually call formview. Hey, You can drag/drop a sqldatasource on the form no problem; it doesn't matter if SQL is installed, or it isn't. It works off of a connection string, and when it needs to access the objects of the database, that is where you will see connection errors if it can't get to the database.
Just for clarity, I did drag/drop the SQLData Source, but it would not allow me to connect it to the database, even if I manually put in the connection string or tried to navigate the controls (could not see the SQL Server).
Insert/Edit/Delete from multiple tables, Form View, Details View, Grid View Hi, i need some help, i have a form that inserts data into multiple tables due to alot of fields are needed to be filled per "Test",so in order to avoid using one table with 30 fields i split it into several tables related by Data ID.NET or is it probably a configuration problem (which doesn't make any sense since is works fine when the connection is made on page_load).The other way to resolve the issue is to better understand how to add this functionality without going through the SQLData Source (which I hate to do).I have a Grid View that you can select a row and it will show the details in the Details View.I wanted to do create this page using an SQLData Source object, but it would not let me connect to my SQL Server Express database for some strange reason.I'm trying to insert or update data into a database from detailsview through coding.
